Porsche records state the original owner as Nagera, P. Porsche confirmed the car was sold to Joaquin Felipe Nogueira, Portugal. According to some sources in Portugal, João de Castro funded the purchase of this car in 1956 from Porsche through Soc. Com. Guerin in Lisboa Portugal for Joaquim to drive. The car was painted silver with red tail stripes on the rear fenders. Joaquim was an accomplished Portuguese race car driver. The car is also referred to car "LC-23-99" based on it's license plate. The car was prepared and maintained by Mestre Jaime Rogrigues, well known Portugese race car mechanic.

Antonio Borges Barreto took over for Joaquim Felipe Nogueira who was injured in a crash in a Ferrari. "Tóquim" was the first and only Portuguese to race for Ferrari. He tragically lost his life in 1957 in a crash. Entrant was João de Castro.
